Warehouse Management Software

Managing, planning, scheduling, controlling and shipping are the 5 fundamental actions within a warehouse.

Managing, planning, scheduling, controlling and shipping are the 5 fundamental actions within a warehouse; the meticulous organization of these operations makes the process of the entire company logistics chain excellent.

In an increasingly dynamic and competitive market, the digitization of warehouse operational management, through dedicated software, can be the ideal solution to guarantee maximum service optimization.

The Warehouse Management System (WMS) offers a set of solutions designed and developed for the computerized management of logistics, in particular:

Entry stages

During the receipt of goods, the conformity, quantity, features and the state or quality of the goods entering the warehouse are scrupulously checked.
The information collected is compared with the order received and the WMS, connecting with the ERP – company management system -, manages the operational phase of collecting information such as the expiry date, weight, temperature or serial number.

Location phases

With the WMS it is possible to map the entire warehouse structure in terms of locations, shelves, aisles, zones, routes, etc.; allowing you to always have a clear view of the situation in the logistics area and the position of all items in the warehouse.
The choice of the storage location is made by the system in accordance with the destination rules of the warehouse map, with the necessary precautions to achieve maximum saturation of space.

Stock control phases

In the management of stored goods, the WMS system makes it possible to comprehensively monitor all items in the warehouse, regardless of whether they are stored on pallets or in containers.
The WMS is able to calculate the rotation index of the warehouse, which is fundamental for determining the position of the item by virtue of turnover (how many times it enters and leaves), both for a question related to the value of the stock.

Exit phases

The order exit phase is the most articulate, the WMS manages the preparation of the load by processing all the necessary documents: the packing list (list of items that make up the order), the labelling, the transport document, the most efficient picking route to be carried out by the operator, reducing times and numbers of movements.
With the shipment tracking and control function, it is possible to know, even after some time, the packages shipped, their composition, the carrier/vehicle and the transaction data can be transmitted to the receiving warehouse to facilitate loading/unloading operations. The same data can be published on a special website for tracking the shipment itself.
The WMS can also be integrated with the management systems already present in the company, thus creating a complete monitoring of all the working phases: from the moment the goods arrive to the moment they are produced, sold and shipped.

Production

The production module makes it possible to connect with the production management system (MES – Manufacturing Execution System) for the allocation of machining times per machining centre, thus allowing to plan, detect and control the production activities related to individual orders.

Administration

The WMS is able to interface with the company management system (ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning), which instead deals with administrative management and therefore with warehouse activities from an accounting, fiscal and commercial point of view.
