Is your warehouse compliant?

The Supreme Council for Public Works is concluding the implementation circular on Technical Standards for Constructions.

The work of the technical round tables covering the geological and geotechnical aspects of the standard has been completed – the results will formulate the proposal which the General Assembly of the Council will examine by the end of July, in order to issue the final document by autumn.

Among the new aspects is the introduction of Building Documentation among the main tools for monitoring areas – the idea is to make the completion of building documentation compulsory from the outset in the following three cases:

– new constructions;
– special maintenance on existing buildings;
– buildings used for public services and schools (class 3 and class 4 works).

Obviously the anti-earthquake standards also apply to archives, warehouses and industrial premises.
