An important Russian company working in the chemical sector called us to develop a logistical solution in order to connect the warehouse to the production lines.
Its need was to increase storage capacity while reducing production waste.
The Di Massa team has carried out a technical-functional analysis of the current state of the warehouse, so as to identify the points on which to work to meet customer requirements.
First, we worked on the storage capacity by integrating in four stacker cranes, two of which are equipped with wireless satellite and two with forks, so as to allow an optimal and selective grip at the same time.
The integration of these highly technological machines has immediately improved the storage management, simplifying the selection of goods and speeding up their movement.
In addition, we integrated an automated warehouse on a single level with two picking bays where orders are processed and pallets monitored, so that they can then be easily directed to the area dedicated to shipments.
The complete warehouse reorganization has guaranteed the customer a high storage capacity of large products, combined with greater speed in picking that has optimized the order management from picking to shipment, with a consequent reduction of errors.
In addition, the installation of two automated picking bays has reduced picking costs and ensured greater traceability of production batches.
