A German company in the paper industry asked for our support to define a warehouse optimization project in order to streamline the production process, connecting all the product bays and carrying out a centralization towards the consolidation area.
In order to effectively optimize all the storage dynamics, we carefully evaluated the customer’s needs and came up with a solution that did not involve the use of forklifts, which had been used until then, and that ensured the traceability of production batches.
We therefore proposed the installation of a roller conveyor, integrated with automated palletizing systems, robotic devices that pick up the goods and place them neatly on the pallets, in order to simplify and speed up considerably the movement and organization of the products.
Following the reorganization of the warehouse dynamics and the elimination of the forklifts, the customer has improved efficiency of the production process and optimized the logistics facility, with a consequent saving of time and money.
Traceability of production batches has been concretely improved, reducing errors and problems at every stage of the production process.
